VEHARI– Deputy Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia visited the city’s vegetable and fruit market on Monday and checked the auction process of vegetables and fruits.
According to a spokesman, the DC held auction in his presence and also examined the quality of eatables.
Also present on the occasion were Assistant Commissioner Munawar Hussain and officers of concerned departments.
Kathia, speaking on the occasion, said steps are being taken to lessen the prices of vegetables and fruits and control price-hike during the month of holy Ramadan.
The DC said he was trying resolve the traders’ problems on priority basis, urging them to improve the supply of eatables in the market.— PRESS HANDOUT
