LAHORE MIRROR — Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muhammad Tariq Aziz Sindhu has been appointed Okara District Police Officer (DPO).
He was earlier serving Kasur as the district police chief. Mr Aziz was posted in Okara in February 2023. He transformed the district police in terms of welfare and infrastructure building of the police units besides applying anti-crime measures.
The SSP, who has also served Sargodha and Vehari as DPO, is considered a well-reputed and professional police officer in the bureaucratic and political circles.
Soon after joining the duty, Mr Aziz Sindhu gave policy guidelines to the SDPOs and the SHOs. He directed the police officers to ensure the provision of justice to the aggrieved citizens as no cruelty to any victim would be tolerated.
Police officers should thoroughly crack down on drug dealers and any police officer found involved in drug dealing should be ready to face punishment and resignation from service, he added.
The DPO further directed the field officers to provide relief to the oppressed and take immediate action if any injustice is reported with the orphans, widows, women and children.
