Commissioner Chairs Meeting To Discuss Arrangements for Hazrat Hussain (RA) Chehlum, Data Sahib Urs

LAHORE– Commissioner Lahore Division Asif Bilal Lodhi has said the arrangements and steps would be taken on Ashoor level for Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and for Urs of Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri on October 20.

He said direction had been issued for patch work, cleanliness and anti-dengue spray on route of main procession and all gathering areas of Urs.

Lodhi said all events be monitored by central control room and through mobile CCTV equipped vehicles as per SOP.

He said effective traffic plan would be devised to provide comfort for commuters in city and traffic advisory be issued before the events.

Acting DC Lahore Muhammad Asghar Joya, Additional Commissioner Tariq Qureshi, DC Kasur Azhar Hayat, SP Operations Syed Ghazanfar Shah, DSP Security Usman Haider, ACG Lahore Muhammad Jaafar, Aghast Shah Hussain Qizalbash, Khawaja Basharat, Toqir Baba, Allama Mushtaq Jafri, Exective Officer Data Darbar Babur Nawaz Gondel and officers of LESCO, WASA, Sui Gas, Rescue, Civil Defence, MCL and other departments participated.

Commissioner Asif Bilal Lodhi said focal persons of all departments would be notified within two or three days to coordinate all security and municipal arrangements for both events.— PRESS HANDOUT
