Chief Secretary Khokhar Orders Early Payments Of Outstanding Advertisements Dues

LAHORE– Chief Secretary Punjab Yousaf Naseem Khokhar on Friday directed the provincial departments to pay outstanding dues of advertisements and submit a report after making payments to media houses within the prescribed time frame.

He was presiding over a meeting regarding outstanding dues of advertisements here at the Civil Secretariat.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that media plays an important role in promotion of good governance, merit, transparency and public awareness.

He directed that a focal person be nominated in Finance Department to coordinate with other departments in payment of the outstanding dues.

Secretary Information and Culture Punjab Momin Agha briefed the meeting on the outstanding dues owed by different departments.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Home, administrative secretaries of different departments, commissioner Lahore division, deputy commissioner Lahore and officers concerned.— PRESS HANDOUT
