33rd National Games: DG Pakistan Police Sports Board Inam Ghani Distributes Cash, Certificates Among Winners

LAHORE– Director General Pakistan Police Sports Board and Additional IG Operations Punjab Inam Ghani Tuesday said sports competitions are mandatory for mental, physical fitness of the force, therefore, available resources should be utilized to ensure steps for better performance of police players in completions with other departments on priority basis.

He further said in 33rd national games held in Peshawar 10 medals bagged by police players reflect the fact that the players of Punjab police don’t lag behind others in their abilities and professionalism.

He expressed views while distributing cash prizes and commendation certificates among the winning players of national games at the Central Police Office (CPO).

The 33rd National games were held at Peshawar in which police players won 10 medals in the games of Archery, Wrestling, Taikowando, Wosho and Judo.

Usama Mustafa won silver medial in archery, Muhammad qurban won silver medal in wrestling whereas Haroon Masih, Shafqat Ali won bronze medals. Asad bill Talaat won bronze medal in Taikowando, siraj Ahmad and Muhammad Anwar won bronze medals in Wosho. Ghulam Abbas, Muhammad Abid and Suleman Tariq won bronze medals in judo.

Director General PPSB Inam Ghani praised the winning players and said that they should work hard and with full commitment for improving their performance level and coaches should also do their duties with diligence so that they may provide every possible help and cooperation.

He further said that during this year more tournaments will be held with a formal strategy so that performance of police force in competition with players of other departments may be improved.— PRESS RELEASE
