LAHORE MIRROR — Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has entered into a strategic partnership with Air China, enabling travelers to access 16 Chinese cities via Beijing, starting August 6.

This development was confirmed by a PIA official with the APP.

As per report, the destinations now accessible through Pakistan’s national airline, PIA, include major Chinese cities such as Guangzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Changchun, Hangzhou, and Harbin, among others. This new arrangement opens up convenient travel options for passengers between Pakistan and China.

To encourage student travelers, PIA is offering an attractive 20% discount on flights between the two countries, making the journey more affordable and accessible for young scholars.

In addition to competitive prices, PIA is offering generous baggage allowances for passengers. Economy class travelers can enjoy up to 80kg of free baggage, while executive economy class passengers can carry up to 100kg without any additional charges.

The resumed flight operations between Pakistan and China will commence from August 6. Initially, PIA will operate one weekly flight on the Islamabad-Beijing-Islamabad route, scheduled every Sunday, with the departure from Beijing at 21:15.

For those considering this travel option, the one-way fare from Beijing to Islamabad is set at 3814 RMB, while the return ticket comes at 5685 RMB. Passengers can also avail themselves of further discounts if they opt to purchase tickets online.

This partnership between PIA and Air China is expected to strengthen connectivity and promote tourism, trade, and cultural exchange between Pakistan and China. It offers travelers greater flexibility and convenience, with increased flight options and improved services.
