No Plan to Close Punjab Higher Education Commission: Minister

LAHORE– Minister for Higher Education and Information Technology Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfaraz has claimed that we have strengthened all departments of Punjab with information technology. He also claimed that corruption had been eradicated from the departments and created a man-friendly environment in all sectors of life.

He expressed these views while holding a joint press conference with SACM Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan in Arifa Kareem Park here on Thursday.

Raja Yassir said that we have a strong belief in practical work rather than highlighting personalities. It was due to the sincere efforts of the Punjab Information Technology Board now Punjab is leading in the field of information technology in all Pakistan.

The PITB is providing assistance to other provinces in different fields. To a question, Minister higher education said that “we have no plan to close Punjab Higher Education commission rather we are struggling to enhance the standard of education in Punjab with a positive collaboration and support of PHEC and Higher Education Department Punjab,”.

He said that we have saved time and money for common people by introducing E. Pay App. Citizen of Punjab can pay their Token Tax, E challan, and others with the help of information technology without wasting time and money.

Raja Yassir said that now the citizens can get a birth, death marriage, and other certificates without wasting money and time at their doorstep.

He said that for the facilitation of overseas we have offered different online facilities for them. Furthermore, we are offering training courses for online business which will be helpful for the youth to start their own online business.

With the help of E. Transfer App now teachers both from school and college education can apply for their transfers online without visiting offices, giving bribes, or getting favours of politicians. He hoped that with help of all these steps we will make Pakistan a developed and prosperous country.
