LAHORE- The 18th convocation of the Government College University Lahore is going to be held on February 18, 2020 (Tuesday) at 10:00 am at the university’s Bukhari Auditorium.
Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar will be chief guest at the first session where the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Philosophy would be conferred upon His Excellency Mr. Afzal Khan, the Member of the House of Commons, United Kingdom in recognition of his remarkable contribution for the promotion of political, diplomatic, economic and cultural relations between the United Kingdom and Pakistan.
Addressing the students at the full dress rehearsal on Monday, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi revealed that this year about 2,044 students would receive medals, rolls of honour and degrees at the convocation spread over three sessions on Feb 18, and 19, 2020.
He the convocation was one of the most memorable moments in the life of a student which must be cherished in a disciplined manner.
He said that about 151 best students would receive academic medals, co-curricular certificate and rolls of honour this year at the convocation.
He also said that the university would also award PhD degrees in various disciplines upon 68 scholars.-PRESS RELEASE
