FAISALABAD– Faisalabad police have refurbished five off-road and scrapped vehicles and made them operational for police duty.
According to City Police Officer Captain (retired) Muhammad Sohail Ch, the cost per vehicle is less than Rs300,000 including taxes and that those are at the disposal of police stations.
He said the renovation is part of a pilot project involving four police stations’ vehicles and one prison van, while more obsolete vehicles would follow the suit.
DIG Sohail Ch further said Faisalabad police would request the Inspector General of Punjab Police for more funds in this regard.— LAHORE MIRROR
