SARGODHA: An engaged woman was allegedly drowned and killed in a canal in Chak 65 South, Sargodha, police said. According to police, the suspects allegedly killed the woman and quietly buried her at a local cemetery. A case has been registered in connection with the incident, while the victim’s fiancé has been arrested, police said. However, the motive for the killing remains unknown. Police said the suspect allegedly committed the crime in collusion with his father and the victim’s father-in-law. Meanwhile, the body was shifted for an autopsy and further investigation was launched.
