LAHORE — The PML-N government on Tuesday increased the price of petrol by Rs5.58 per litre while increasing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs4.18 per litre. Following the revision, petrol will retail at Rs364.35 per litre while HSD will cost Rs385.95 per litre. The government continues to levy Rs114 per litre in taxes and duties on petrol and Rs100 per litre on diesel. LAHORE MIRROR — Police have arrested former National Assembly member, former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab president and ex-minister Hammad Azhar. According to police sources, Azhar was arrested in Multan and subsequently handed over to Lahore Police. The sources said Hammad Azhar was wanted in several cases registered in connection with the May 9, 2023 incidents. Police sources said Azhar had been declared a proclaimed offender since May 9, 2023.
