LAHORE MIRROR — South Cantt police have arrested the prime suspect, Muhammad Rizwan, from Rawalpindi along with a weapon in connection with an assault on security guards and workers at a petrol pump on Airport Road. According to a spokesperson for the DIG Operations, the suspect allegedly assaulted a security guard and other workers at the petrol pump along with an accomplice. LAHORE MIRROR — The government on Wednesday increased the price of petrol by Rs3.40 per litre and that of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs6.72 per litre. Following the revision, petrol will retail at Rs367.75 per litre while HSD will cost Rs392.67 per litre. The government continues to levy Rs114 per litre in taxes and duties on petrol and Rs100 per litre on diesel. According to the Petroleum Division’s notification, the new prices will be applicable on Sept 10 (Thursday).
