LAHORE MIRROR — Passport delivery counters and collection across the country will remain open every Saturday to facilitate citizens in collecting their passports. According to a notification issued by the Passport Department, the delivery counters will operate from 8am to 4pm on Saturdays. The weekly passport delivery facility will remain in place for two months. The notification said citizens would be able to collect their ready passports on Saturdays as well. It added that passports not collected for more than six months would be disposed of in accordance with government policy.
LAHORE MIRROR — Power consumers across Pakistan will face higher electricity bills after the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) approved monthly and quarterly power tariff adjustments. Under the monthly adjustment, power prices have been increased by Rs2.06 per unit, with the additional charge to be reflected in consumers’ September 2026 bills. According to Nepra, the July fuel price adjustment will impose an additional burden of around Rs33 billion on electricity consumers.
