LAHORE– Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations Wing) Lahore Ashfaq Ahmad Khan continued paying surprise visits to different police stations in the provincial capital on late Monday and reached Sarwar Road Cantt for inspection.

Earlier, the DIG Operations Lahore had also visited police stations Faisal Town and Muslim Town on the very same day of his arrival at Lahore.

Ashfaq Khan reached police station Sarwar Road in common dress and on a private car without any protocol or squad.

He inspected lockup, barracks, front desk and other related sections of the police stations.

The DIG briefed the police officials deputed in Police Station to improve their performance along with checking the PS record and attendance of staff.

Ashfaq Khan said police stations are the face of the department and it should be our top priority to provide justice to the citizens.

Khan said he would try our best to improve the conditions of police stations of Lahore under Clean and Green Police Stations campaign.

He said every complainant visiting police stations is VVIP for us and it is mandatory for us to give him due respect and honor.

“We can only improve the positive image of police if we improve over behavior towards citizens as there is no such civil force department in the country whom officers and officials have laid their lives in great numbers in the line of duty and protection of citizens.”

He expressed his strong commitment to continue his surprise visits of the Police Stations to improve police station culture and effective monitoring mechanism.— PRESS RELEASE
