Still No Confirmed Cases Of COVID-19 In Punjab, Says PSHD Spokesman

LAHORE– The Primary and Secretory Healthcare Department (PSHD) on Saturday released the latest statistics about the reported cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in different hospitals of Punjab.

In this regard, the PSHD spokesman said so far there is no confirmed case of coronavirus reported in Punjab, while three suspected patients admitted in isolation wards of Nishtar Hospital Multan, District Headquarter Hospital Bhakkar and CMH Lahore.

He said that 61 cases of suspected COVID-19 were reported across Punjab amongst 58 patients have been discharged after being declared as ‘cleared.’ He further said that 10 patients were immediately discharged while 48 coronavirus suspects discharged after receiving reports of them which were negative.

Meanwhile, the result of the remaining samples of five admitted patients were awaited. He said symptoms of the coronavirus have not yet found in any patient across the province. He said that coronavirus wards have been established on DHQ level in Punjab which are fully functional to provide best medical facilities.

As many as 3,964 passengers have been screened by health department who have recently travelled from abroad in the last 15 days, he added.— PRESS RELEASE
