LAHORE MIRROR — Senior Superintendent of Police Rana Ayyaz Saleem assumed the charge of the Gujranwala City Police Officer (CPO) during a simple and an impressive ceremony on Tuesday.
He was presented the guard of honour upon his arrival at the CPO. The city police chief also laid floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-shuhda an offere fateh.
Mr Saleem, who belongs to the 31st Common of the Civil Service of Pakistan, is considered an upright and professional police officers among bureaucratic and political circles of the country. He is known for introducing new anti-crime policing measures and taking police welfare steps during his field postings.
Mr Saleem has already served the Punjab police and the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) in the past. The SSP’s posting profile includes SSP Tele Punjab, SSP/Sector Commander NH&MP, SSP Administration, Capital City Police Lahore, District Police Officer Nankana Sahib, DPO Attock, SSP Investigation, Lahore police, DPO Khanewal, DPO Sahiwal, and SP(Operations) Model Town, CCP Lahore.
The officer has recently completed the Senior Management Course (SMC) for promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in BS-20. He is also a foreign qualified PSP.
