Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas’ wedding photos released
The couple tied the knot in two lavish wedding ceremonies held in Jodhpur on December 2 and 3.
For the Christian ceremony, Chopra wore a white Ralph Lauren wedding dress with hand embroidered flower motif on lace. According to People magazine, Ralph Lauren sketched the gown himself with the embroidery taking over 1,800 hours to complete. Jonas wore a custom-made double-breasted tuxedo by Ralph Lauren.
The couple had a second traditional Hindu ceremony in which Priyanka wore a traditional red lehenga with a matching cropped top and veil. People magazine said the lehenga was made by Indian fashion designer, Sabyasachi and took 110 embroiders from Calcutta 3,720 hours to create. The lehenga on the bride’s request had the names of her fiancé and parents sewn into the waistband.
To go with her traditional Indian lehenga, Priyanka wore jewellery which paid homage to the Mughal’s with uncut diamonds, emeralds and Japanese cultured pearls in 22 karat gold by Chopard. The actresses necklace had 84.50-carats of pear-shaped diamonds set in 18k white gold, while her pear-shaped earning had 6.07-carats diamonds. She also wore a second necklace with a 16-carat oval-shaped diamond drop on her head.
Nick also wore traditional Indian wedding attire with a turban. His silk sherwani was hand-quilted which he paired with a hand-embroidered chicken dupatta and chanderi tissue safa. The singer also wore a rose-cut kalgi and Syndicate diamond necklace from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry Collection.
The couple wore shoes from famous designer Christian Louboutin.
