Pakistani Women Athletes Making Names in Int’l Games, Says Laiq Ahmed

KARACHI– Administrator Karachi Laiq Ahmed has said that it’s a matter of pride for the emerging young athletes to win international honors for the country. In modern sports like Ju-Jitsu, Pakistani women athletes have won gold medals at the international level. The country has made a name for itself by winning, which is less than commendable.

With the acceptance and guidance of young talent, further progress can be made in the field of sports, he said, beating world champion Austria in the final of the World Jujitsu Tournament he said this while addressing a reception in honor of gold medal-winning Pakistani athletes Isra Waseem and Kainat Arif.

Coordination Khalid Khan, Senior Director Sports Culture and Recreation Mansoor Qazi, Senior Director Media Management Ali Hassan Sajid, and other officials were also present.

A briefing on the occasion said that 373 teams from 31 countries participated in the World Tournament held in Austria. Took part and face Competitions were held in different categories in which decisions were made on the basis of points. Martial arts are very popular in the United States and Western countries and there is a lot of excitement in these competitions.

In the finals, Pakistani athletes competed against world champions Austria in which the Pakistani players performed well and achieved success and the fans present there highly praised their game.

Administrator Karachi Laiq Ahmed while appreciating the performance of the Pakistan Jujitsu Federation said that other countries of the world.

He said that sports like Jujitsuja are gaining popularity in Pakistan which is a proof that the federation is working in a positive direction.

He said that youth should participate in healthy activities, there is no alternative to education, healthy activities. “A balanced life can be lived with, the high performance of men as well as women athletes in the field of sports is a matter of pride for every Pakistani.”

“Many great and world-renowned athletes in Karachi has been born and this city forever has proved to be a sports-loving city were emerging and talented athletes from various sports including martial arts have been encouraged and many international standard sports events have been held here.”

He said that Pakistan Jujitsu Federation will continue to promote Pakistani athletes at the national and international level while maintaining its performance and in the future, these athletes will win more gold medals for Pakistan, said Administrator Karachi Laiq Ahmed.

He also presented shields to Pakistani athletes Isra Waseem and Kainat Arif, who won gold medals at the World Championships and instructed them to continue their efforts to become more proficient in their sport.
