LAHORE– Maintaining annual tradition, the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced to temporarily discontinue gas supply to the general industry and CNG sector during ongoing spate of freezing winter.
However, zero rated industries will not be affected from the closure, the sole natural gas provider in Punjab and KP regions further announced.
In the wake of increasing gas consumption of domestic sector due to current cold wave in the country, the SNGPL has decided to temporarily discontinue gas supply to general industries and CNG Sector.
According to a SNGPL spokesperson, gas supply to zero rated industries will not be affected by the decision.
It was further clarified that the decision has been taken on temporary basis owing to the current situation while supply to general industries and CNG Sector will be restored as soon as the situation gets normal.
