LAHORE MIRROR – England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt has solidified her position as the No.1 batter in the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings following her match-winning century in the final ODI of the ICC Women’s Championship (IWC) series against Sri Lanka.
Her remarkable 74-ball knock of 120 led her team to a resounding 161-run victory in Leicester, securing a 2-0 series win.
Sciver-Brunt’s outstanding performance has propelled her to a career-best rating of 807 points, marking the highest rating for an England women’s player in ODIs since July 2009 when Claire Taylor reached 814 points and Sarah Taylor achieved 812 points.
This remarkable achievement was announced in a press release issued here on Monday.
However, despite her outstanding batting, Sciver-Brunt has slipped to the third position in the all-rounders’ rankings.
Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner has reclaimed the top spot, with West Indies’ Hayley Matthews securing the second position.
Sri Lanka’s Hasini Perera has made significant gains in the rankings, climbing 26 places to reach the 57th position following her impressive scores of 31 not out and 32 in the last two matches of the series.
England off-spinner Charlie Dean has also significantly improved her ranking, achieving a career-best position of 12th after her remarkable performance in the third ODI, where she took five wickets for 31 runs.
Leg-spinner Sarah Glenn, who secured five wickets in the series, has moved up 12 places to the 52nd position.
In the latest weekly update, which also takes into account performances in the final match of the IWC series between Pakistan and South Africa, Pakistan’s batters Bismah Maroof and Sidra Ameen have both climbed three spots in the rankings.
This follows their pivotal roles in Pakistan’s eight-wicket victory in Karachi, with Bismah ranked 22nd after her unbeaten 60 and Sidra at 25th following her score of 68.
Among the bowlers, several Pakistan players have made strides in the rankings, including Nashra Sundhu (up one place to 15th), captain Nida Dar (up two places to 19th), Diana Baig (up one place to 24th), and Sadia Iqbal (up 13 places to 50th).
Finally, South Africa’s Tazmin Brits (up 11 places to 62nd) and Nadine de Klerk (up 16 places to 85th) have climbed in the batting rankings following their successful series against Pakistan, which they won 2-1
