LAHORE MIRROR– If you have your suspicions about your partner cheating, what lengths would you go to prove they were cheating?
Well, one woman admits she took things to an extreme level when she started to have suspicions about her husband – hiring a private investigator to prove he was being unfaithful.
Her suspicions began when she found expensive lingerie in his car, and she assumed it was for her, but she never received the fancy gift for her upcoming birthday.
Instead, her husband gifted her a voucher, and that’s when her doubts really solidified and she began to worry something wasn’t right in their relationship.
As well as the underwear incident, she claims there were other red flags she’d noticed, with her partner working late, tilting his phone screen away from her and taking phone calls in the garden.
Speaking to Metro, using a pseudonym, Lisa detailed the discovery of her husband’s affair – and she proved his infidelity thanks to the help of a private investigator.Lisa says she was scared at first about hiring the investigator as it seemed a bit “seedy”, however, she went ahead with the plan after she found a PI she liked that carried out covert surveillance and matrimonial investigations.

The PI followed Dave for a few nights and Lisa’s suspicions were proved correct when they found that he was having dinner with another woman and then taking her back to an apartment.
When presented with photographs of her husband’s infidelity Lisa says: “I just went into Plan B mode. I just compartmentalised it, to protect the kids. I had to make a decision about whether I would stay or go.
“I confronted him and he owned up. Although it was tearful and emotional, it was also strangely quite enjoyable. There was an element of me that quite liked that I was showing him up for being a liar.”
The PI also discovered that the apartment the couple had visited actually belonged to Lisa’s husband, which he had bought behind Lisa’s back and put in his brother’s name.
As a result, the apartment became a marital asset when filing for divorce, which ended up benefitting Lisa dramatically.
She says: “It all came out and I am glad it did, because I think financially I wouldn’t have been able to step away from the marriage otherwise. I would have had to live a life of turning a blind eye, sleeping in separate bedrooms.”
Despite this, lawyers at Stowe Family Law actually warn against hiring a private investigator.
