SHEIKHUPURA– The recently retired police officers from Thatta Sheikhum police station Kasur were honoured for their long term services for the Punjab police at a colourful ceremony held at the police station a couple of days ago.
District Police Officer Kasur Zahid Nawaz Marwat graced the occasion as chief guest. The entire officers of Kasur district police and notables were present in the farewell ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Zahid Nawaz Marwat said the get-together is motivational for the force and to pay tribute to those outgoing officers who served the department for 40 years.
“Their services to protect the citizens of Kasur will always be remembered. I want to thank you Inspector Muhammad Sarwar and family and others who got retired for their remarkable services for the department.”
The DPO said the serving officers and officials will follow the footprints of retired officers like Muhammad Sarwar.
At the end, the DPO distributed shields and certificates among the retired officials.
The interesting feature of the ceremony was to give full protocol to Inspector Muhammad Sarwar who was taken to his residence in a decorated car and police escort.
