JI’s Sirajul Haq Asks Govt To Treat Corona Patients As Humans Not Terrorists

PESHAWAR– Stating that the corona patients were being treated as terrorists in hospitals, Ameer Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirjaul Haq, has called upon the government to treat patients as humans and review its SOP’s in his respect.

He was speaking at an Eid gifts distribution ceremony organized by the Al-Khidmat Foundation, Peshawar. Provincial head of the Al-Khidmat Khalid Waqas Chamkani, JI Peshawar chief Attiqur Rehamn, were present on teh occasion.  

Sirajul Haq said that while the masses were worried due to the  corona, the rulers were involved in the Eid moon issue and were mocking at the Ulema.

He said that the corona patients were being treated as terrorists with the result that the people were preferring plunging into the river over going to hospitals. The dead bodies were being disgraced.

He said that large number of doctors and nurses had embraced martyrdom while treating corona patients as the government had failed to provide them security kits.

The JI Chief termed the indefinite closure of educational institutions as injustice to the new generations and urged the government to restore educational facilities at the earliest.

He decried the government treatment to the overseas Pakistanis,  He said the overseas Pakistanis had donated huge amounts in the corona relief fund on government appeal but the they were not being given fair treatment. He said that most of these people had lost their jobs but the government was looting them with both hands.

Referring to the services of the Al-Khidmat Foundation, Sirajul Haq said that at the time when the nation was celebrating Eid, the A-Khidmat Foundation workers and JI workers were busy in distributing  ration at the doors of the poor .

Continuing, the JI Chief said that the Prime Minister Imran Kahn was only delivering speeches while decisions were being taken at some other forum. He said that the Prime Minister had spoken against lock down but on the very next day, lock down was imposed. As a result, the people were confused.

He said the government had set up a Tiger force but it was taking oath after the country had gone through a big tragedy.  He further said the government was asking the people not to visit tourist spots but the Prime Minister and his ministers were celebrating Eid at those very  spots.

Sirajul Haq said that the country did not need the IMF or World ank, it only needed an honest and upright leadership . He said that during the present crisis caused by the corona, the masses had donated as much as Rs. Two billion to the Al-Khidmat Foundation which implied their trust in the organization.— PRESS RELEASE
