Faisalabad Police Arrest Three Wounded Robbers After Encounter in Samundri

FAISALABAD– Three alleged robbers were arrested after they got wounded in an encounter with the Faisalabad police in Samundri police jurisdiction on early Saturday.   

City Police Officer Faisalabad Captain (retired) Mohammad Sohail Ch told Lahore Mirror that at about 3:10am a call was received through police emergency number 15 by Anwar that three armed culprits had snatched his motorcycle, some cash and a mobile phone and fled away.
On receiving information, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Samundri police station got the entire area cordoned off, the CPO said, adding after some time, policemen saw three culprits riding two bikes.
Police party tried to stop the suspects, but they opened indiscriminate fire at police and tried to escape.
On being chased, an exchange of fire took place and after some time the firing stopped from culprits’ side. On checking, police party found three persons injured with gun shots on their legs.
Robber
Police seized three pistols and two motorcycles with snatched cash and cell phone recovered. The suspects were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
DIG Sohail Ch says the suspects have confessed to dozens of cases of robberies including a case number 316/20 dated 21.4.2020 (under section 396/302 of PPC) registered with the Samundri PS.
Their criminal record is being checked and legal proceedings are under way, he adds.
