Dr Yasmin Reviews Sehat Insaf Cards Progress, Orders Consolidated Data on Beneficiaries’ Feedback

LAHORE– Punjab Health Minister chaired a high level meeting to review the progress on Sehat Insaf Cards Program at the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department here on Wednesday. 

The meeting was attended by Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Barrister Nabeel Awan, Special Secretary Nadir Chatha, Additional Secretary Dr. Asif Tufail, Chief Planning Officer Abdul Haq Bhatti, officials of the Punjab Health Initiatives Management Company and partner Insurance representative.

The officials of the Punjab Health Initiative Company gave detailed briefing on the progress on Sehat Insaf Cards and shared feedback of the recipient of the card. The Minister asked the Punjab Health Initiatives Management Company to gather and consolidate complete data on the feedback from the beneficiaries of the Sehat Insaf Cards. She said the feedback will help assess and improve the performance of the PHFMC and identify areas of improvement.

PHF to take over Punjab Residency Program

The Punjab Health Foundation held the 28th meeting of its Board of Directors under the chair of Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid at the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department here on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by Special Secretary SHME Ms. Silwat Saeed, MD Punjab Health Foundation Ms. Kiran Khurshid, Professor Dr. Mehmud Shaukat, and board members of the PHF. Suggestions were sought on the provision of allowance for regular employees of the PHF.

The chair ordered to increase the limit of loan amount and also approved the setting up of Day Care Centre in the PHF. During the meeting, approval was granted for take over of Punjab Residency Program by the PHF. Approval was also granted for the reconstitution of the Financial, Technical and Human Resource Committees.

The Minister said on the occasion, “The government is facilitating the health professionals in the province through the Punjab Health Foundation. We have increased the loan limit for health professionals. We are also working to enhance the capacity and performance of the PHF.”

Eidul Azha: LWMC directed to get tough in case of negligence

Punjab Health Minister chaired a high-level meeting of the Lahore Waste Management Company at the LWMC headoffice to review the arrangements and preparations for Eidul Azha here on Wednesday.

Punjab Housing Minister Mian Mahmoodur Rashid, President PTI Punjab Ejaz Chaudhry, Special Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Ajmal Bhatti, Provincial Secretary Qazi Javed Ahmed, Ali Amir, Ghulam Mohayuddin Diwan, Chairman LWMC Riaz Chaudry and other officials attended the meeting.  The Provincial Ministers reviewed the arrangements and status of preparedness for Eidul Azha. Chairman LWC RIaz Chaudhry gave an overview of the performance of the company. Dr. Yasmin Rashid asked the LWMC to finalize setting up of camps within the next two days in Lahore. She urged the citizens to take necessary measures for cleanliness in the city and asked the LWMC to make all possible arrangements to ensure disposal of wastes during Eidul Azha.

She desired that by the evening of Juatul Mubarak, Lahore must be cleaned and said disciplinary action may be initiated against officers whose area is not found clean. She also said that waste bags must be immediately distributed. She also said that on Eid measures are being taken to control the spread of Corona virus.

Mian Mahmoodur Rashid said that Lahore is being divided into different zones and an awareness campaign will be initiated on Eidul Azha.

The Minister said, “The purpose of the Sehat Insaf Cards is to facilitate and provide free health services to the marginalized section the society. The details of the third party validation may be provided to the Department. We will have a fortnightly performance review of the Punjab Health Initiatives Management Company. The holders of the Sehat Insaf Cards must be provided details of services they can avail through the card.”

Later, the Minister directed Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department Barrister Nabeel Awan to conduct a reassessment of the progress of the PHIMC.— HANDOUT
