Did Deepika Padukone’s Role in ‘Jawan’ Impact Nayanthara’s Career?
LAHORE MIRROR – At the age of 38, South Indian actress Nayanthara, who made her Bollywood debut with the lead role in Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster film ‘Jawan,’ seems to be displeased with the film’s director, Atlee Kumar.
Nayanthara, a South Indian actress, kick-started her Bollywood journey by portraying a police officer in the movie ‘Jawan.’ The film has achieved tremendous success as one of the year’s biggest Bollywood blockbusters, earning Nayanthara accolades from her fans. However, she remains dissatisfied.
According to reports in Indian media, Nayanthara is furious with director Atlee Kumar for allegedly “trimming” her scenes in ‘Joan’ while “enhancing” Deepika Padukone’s role in the film.
This, in turn, made Nayanthara feel “marginalized” in the movie.
There are speculations that Nayanthara believes that, despite the film’s success, Deepika Padukone is receiving more love and attention, which has become unbearable for her, given that she was the film’s lead character.
Furthermore, reports suggest that Nayanthara is now refraining from taking on any new Bollywood projects, indicating that her Hindi-speaking fans may not see her in Hindi projects anytime soon.
It’s worth noting that ‘Jawan’ has set a new record by crossing the 500 crore mark at the Indian box office, and its success continues to grow.
