COMSATS organises exhibition on Redevelopment of Neelum Riverfront in Muzaffarabad
Exhibition displayed proposals made by architecture students to develop and revitalize Muzafarabad’s dying tourism industry
Department of Architecture at COMSATS University Lahore Campus, organised an exhibition on “Redevelopment of Neelum Riverfront in Muzaffarabad” on June 27 2022, in collaboration with Department of Tourism and Archaeology, Azad Jammu & Kashmir Government.
The exhibition displayed the proposals made by architecture students to develop and revitalize Muzafarabad’s dying tourism industry by designing the riverfront as a magnet for socio-cultural, recreational and public activities.
The exhibition, which was the result of 12-weeks effort of students, was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Asad Husaain, Director CUI Lahore. Dr. Shariyeh Hosseini Nasab, Chairperson Department of Architecture welcomed the participants and guests and gave her remarks about this successful academic and practice collaboration. The event was warmly attended by professors, as well as, professionals of architectural field.
The project was initiated by Ar. Taimur Sarwar and conducted under the supervision of Ar. Hiba Hashmi, assistant professor of Department of Architecture at COMSATS.
