CM Balochistan Gets Insight Into PSCA Working During Maiden Visit

LAHORE– Chief Minister of Baluchistan Jam Kamal Khan visited Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) Headquarters at Qurban Lines here on Monday. Inspector General of Police Baluchistan Muhammad Tahir Rai was also accompanying the chief minister.

Managing Director PSCA Rao Sardar Ali Khan and Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Kamran Khan received and briefed about the various sections of the authority. COO PSCA briefed about the PSCA Media Center, PUCAR 15, emergency 15 center and also regarding provision of electronic data evidence and footages to various law enforcement agencies in addition to investigative wings of Police.

CM Baluchistan appreciated the technologies and practices in place as were demonstrated to them in detail especially about Intelligent Traffic Management System and Electronic Challaning. Jam Kamal Khan said that PSCA like advanced projects must be installed all over the country as these are vital for modern day policing.

The Chief Minister said that modern technology and training in the Safe City project is commendable. Punjab Safe Cities Authority is an ideal project that has a lot of buzz in the region. Quetta Safe City project team has visited Punjab Safe Cities Authority and Quetta Safe city project will also be launched soon.

We are keen to sign MoU with Punjab for technical assistance in Quetta project, he added. Managing Director Punjab Safe Cities Authority Rao Sardar Ali Khan assured all possible support from Punjab Safe Cities Authority for Quetta Safe City project.

On this occasion, IG Baluchistan Rai Tahir also briefed to the Chief Minister Baluchistan regarding the progress on Quetta Safe City project. He said that Quetta Safe Cities project would be operational by the end of this year.

The Chief Minister also recorded his remarks in the guest memorial book. The visit concluded with the presentation of souvenir shields to the CM Baluchistan.— PRESS RELEASE
