LAHORE MIRROR — In the third match of the T20 Asia Cup being played in the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh comfortably defeated Hong Kong by seven wickets.
The Bengal Tigers chased down the target of 144 runs in 17.4 overs, losing just three wickets. A crucial partnership between captain Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy secured the victory.
Bangladesh lost both openers early, with the score at 47. At 24 runs, Parvez Hossain Emon was caught by Babar Hayat off the bowling of Ayush Shukla after scoring 19. The other opener, Tanzid Hasan, managed 14 before falling to Ateeq Iqbal.
At that point, captain Litton Das took charge with an aggressive display, well supported at the other end by Towhid Hridoy. Das played a brilliant knock of 59 runs off 39 balls, striking six fours and a six.
He was bowled by Ateeq Iqbal with the team score on 142, just two runs short of the target. Towhid Hridoy remained unbeaten on 35 off 36 balls, guiding Bangladesh to a comfortable win.
