LAHORE MIRROR The Pakistani rupee crossed the 300 mark against the US Dollar in the interbank market during intraday trading on Thursday, as indicated by data from the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP).
Following the appreciation of Rs0.37, the US dollar completed its ‘triple-century’ in interbank, as many TV channels would put it using cricket jargon.
A day earlier, the US dollar reached Rs312 in the open market after it recorded a significant increase of Rs6 while the inter-bank market managed to keep the dollar below the Rs300 mark.
The greenback was trading at Rs299.01 at the closing of the interbank the previous day.
