Doctors with Short Attendance in Punjab Hospitals to Face the Wrath of Health Minister

LAHORE– Provincial Minister Health Dr Yasmeen Rashid has warned that no compromise will be made on the attendance of doctors in all public hospitals and the shortage of doctors will be overcome.

She further stressed upon doctors to ensure quality treatment to the patients in public hospitals. No negligence will be tolerated in this regard, she added. 

This was stated by her while presiding over a meeting in Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department here today. The minister said that MS will be held responsible for poor hygienic conditions in public hospitals adding that there is no shortage of medicines in government hospital.

The surprise visits will be carried out in future as well for the betterment of public sector hospitals. She directed that all VCs and principals should personally monitor the attendance of doctors in their respective teaching hospitals.
