LAHORE– Sui Northern Gas in collaboration with University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore and Rescue 1122 organised an awareness walk at Hussain Chowk on Saturday with an aim to create awareness among citizens to conserve domestic gas.
The walk was led by Managing Director SNGPL Amer Tufail and Vice Chancellor UET Dr. Mansoor Sarwar. Sohail Gulzar, DMD (Operations); Syed Jawad Naseem, SGM; Chaudhry Ijaz, SGM; Farrukh Majeed Bala, General Manager (HSE), Rescue 1122 officials and students from UET also participated in the walk.
The walk was aimed at raising awareness about efficient use of natural gas.
MD SNGPL Amer Tufail, while speaking on the occasion, requested the consumers to use natural gas only when needed.
He emphasized on regular maintenance to avoid high gas bills. He also said that geyser should be kept on pilot and turned to warm only half an hour before the use.
MD SNGPL said that the Company is taking strict action against use of compressors and connection of consumers found to be using compressor will be disconnected.
He requested media to play its role in creating awareness about efficient use of natural gas.
