DG Rescue Dr Rizwan Presents Two Rs3.5 Million Cheques to Rescuers’ Families
LAHORE– Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Dr Rizwan Naseer presented cheques worth over Rs3.4 million as financial compensation to the families of two rescuers at the Rescue Headquarters on Monday.
According to the press release issued on Monday, DG Rescue Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer presented two compensation cheques worth Rs15,84,408/-to widow of Mr Shahbaz Shamas and Rs 19,00,000/- to Father of Toqeer Hassan (LTV), Syed Agha Hussain Naqvi in his office.
Mr Foaad Shahzad Mirza DD(HR), Mr Ejaz Ahmed Virk DD(Finance), Ms Sumaria Liquat Social Welfare Officer and family members of all two rescuers were also present.
According to details, Mr Shahbaz Shamas had joined Service in 2009 as Sanitary Worker (SW) and he was performing his duty in District Lahore. He got cardiac arrest during his duty on 20 June 2019, and Rescue 1122 immediately shifted him to Service hospital, but he could not survive.
Similarly, Mr Toqeer Hassan Raza had joined Service as Rescue Driver in 2019 for District Sargodha. He was going to office early morning for duty on 26 June 2019, the unknown heavy loaded truck hit with his motorbike, where he died on the spot.
At the end, Dr. Rizwan Naseer offered Fateha and led prayer for rescuers who lost their lives. He prayed that Allah Almighty might rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved families.
