LAHORE MIRROR — Senior military officials from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye met in Riyadh on Friday under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement to discuss the security situation and ways to strengthen military cooperation among the three countries.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting was attended by Field Marshal Asim Munir, Türkiye’s Chief of General Staff Gen Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu and Saudi Arabia’s Chief of General Staff.
The meeting reviewed the security situation and threats confronting Saudi Arabia. The participants condemned attacks targeting Makkah, civilian populations and economic installations.
The officials also appreciated the readiness and professional capabilities of the Saudi armed forces in safeguarding the security of the Kingdom.

According to the ISPR, the participants discussed measures to further enhance cooperation among the armed forces of the three countries, improve military coordination and strengthen the integration of defence capabilities.
They also appreciated the longstanding ties and mutual trust between the peoples and armed forces of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
The participants reaffirmed their commitment to translating the pledges and commitments under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement into effective military cooperation.
The ISPR said the meeting reflected the three countries’ resolve to further strengthen their defence partnership.
