Development Projects: LDA’s Head Amna Assigns Add DGs Tasks To Ensure Transparency

LAHORE– Director General Lahore Development Authority Amna Imran Khan has assigned special tasks to all three additional director generals for ensuring transparency at all levels in execution of development projects being carried out by the Engineering Wing of the authority.

The Director General LDA has constituted four high-powered committees, each headed by an additional director general, for looking after the tendering procedure, procurement process, estimation of projects, quality assurance and various other aspects of development projects for this purpose.

An Estimation Committee, headed by the Additional Director General (UP) LDA will verify the estimates prepared by the Engineering Wing for development projects. Other members of the committee will include Director P&E, WASA, and head of the client directorate.

The Grievance Redressal Committee, also headed by Additional Director General (UP) and including legal advisor as well as Director Study TEPA will look into the complaints of the relevant stakeholders regarding tendering procedures for these projects.

For ensuring completion of these projects as per the prescribed standards, a quality control committee headed by Additional Director General (Housing), LDA has been set up.

Other members of the committee will include Director Quality Control, Director C&I, Director Estate Management of LDA and Director Quality Control, WASA.

A procurement committee, headed by Additional Director General (HQ), LDA, has also been established to ensure transparency in procurement process of all projects of LDA.

Other members of the committee will include Director Administration, Director Finance, Director C&I, Resident Director Audit of LDA, Director Procurement, WASA head of client directorate and technical experts.

Meanwhile, Additional Director General (UP) LDA and head of the estimation committee Rana Tikka Khan visited various areas of Johar Town to verify estimates for repair and maintenance of these roads.
