LAHORE MIRROR — The highly-anticipated iPhone 15 series has made its debut, featuring the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max. However, for Pakistanis, these new devices come at a hefty price tag.

In a recent revelation by the popular Twitter account “World of Statistics,” it has been unveiled just how much of an average Pakistani’s monthly salary would be required to acquire the new 256 GB iPhone 15 Pro Max.

According to their data, an average Pakistani would have to allocate a staggering 816% of their monthly income to purchase the new iPhone 15 Pro Max. This places Pakistan slightly ahead of Egypt, where you’d need 821% of your salary, but behind Nigeria, where a substantial 754% is needed. It’s worth noting that Pakistan’s currency value is currently stronger than Nigeria’s.

The top 5 countries on the list are Switzerland, where you’d only need to dedicate a mere 20% of your monthly income to afford the iPhone. Singapore follows closely with 24%, followed by the United States at 28%, the United Arab Emirates at 34%, and Australia at 35%.

As for the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s price in Pakistan, it starts at $1100 in the US, equivalent to approximately Rs. 324,961 at the current exchange rate (Rs. 295). However, it is expected that the phone’s price will increase significantly after receiving approval from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). As a reference, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is currently priced at Rs. 540,000 in Pakistan, accounting for retail margins.

Given this information, it is anticipated that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will likely have a starting price of around Rs. 555,000 or possibly even higher once the official launch takes place.
