FAISALABAD– A man who allegedly raped and murdered a 10-year-old boy, died after he jumped into canal during an attempt to escape in Mamukanjan on Sunday.
According to police, a child name Asad went missing. During investigation police found that one accused Zeeshan had kidnapped the boy, raped him at gunpoint and then brutally murdered him by strangulating with rope.
Afterwards, the accused threw the body of boy in Rajbaa Bojia water canal in limits of Mamukanjan police. The body of the victim was recovered after two days of hectic search operation by the Faisalabad police.
On Sunday around 10:30pm, Mamukanjan police took accused Zeeshan for the recovery of the pistol and rope. When police reached the place of pointation, the accused escaped and jumped into the canal.
Police officials jumped into the water after him. The accused was brought out of the canal and was taken to a hospital where he expired .
Further legal action is being taken.
Soon after the recovery of child’s body, his parents burst into tears and fainted. City Police Officer Captain (retired) Muhammad Sohail Ch immediately took action against the suspects and police managed to arrest principle accused.
