Liquor License: NAB Court Grants 10-Day Physical Remand of Ex-DG Excise Punjab Gondal

LAHORE– A National Accountability Court (NAB) granted on Friday 10-day physical remand of former Punjab Excise ad Taxation director general Akram Ashraf Gondal in liquor license case. He was handed over to NAB prosecution team.

Gondal stated before the court that nine such licences were issued by the department.

The judge asked the NAB prosecutor to tell the court what wrong happened?

The prosecutor said the accused approved liquor license while violating policy as what was need to issue a license to a hotel that was incomplete.

Gondal had earlier offered NAB to become approver in the case that involved Chief Minister Sarrdar Usman Buzdar and former principle secretary to CM Dr Raheal Siddiqi.

CM Buzdar and Siddiqi have already joined the NAB investigations.
