LAHORE MIRROR — Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh have reportedly received threats following an alleged assassination attempt on actor Tiger Shroff, Indian media reported.
An email containing threats was recently sent to the Mumbai mayor’s office, warning of an attack on Bachchan’s bungalow, Jalsa, and threatening to disrupt security arrangements for Dosanjh’s concert scheduled for 27 November.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Manish Kalwania said the threat was sent to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) via email. However, a subsequent inspection found nothing suspicious, he said.
According to Kalwania, schools in Dadar had also received threats. Security agencies are investigating the bomb threats targeting the two celebrities and working to identify those responsible.
The threats follow a shooting incident involving Tiger Shroff’s vehicle in Mumbai’s Juhu area on 18 October. The actor was leaving after playing a football match when shots were fired at his vehicle.
Shroff escaped unharmed, but two people, including his driver, were injured in the incident.
