LAHORE MIRROR — The Urdu Science Board (USB), in collaboration with Ripha International College Canal Campus, Lahore, organized an intellectual seminar on the topic of “Thoughts of Quaid and Science” at the conference hall of the college here on Thursday.
Prof. Mohammad Saeed Sheikh, Incharge ‘Pakistan Awareness Program’ from Idara-e-Nazria Pakistan, delivered a special lecture. Principal Dr Majid Riaz, teachers, and students from various departments of the college participated in the seminar.
The guest speaker, Professor Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, while giving an analytic and thought-provoking discussion on Quaid’s thoughts, said that Quaid-e-Azam was a great personality of his time; he was a legal expert of high stature and a gentleman. The Quaid wanted to see an educated new generation and Pakistan as a developed state. Students should play their role in the development of a strong, stable, and prosperous Pakistan in light of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s thoughts.
The new generation can serve the country and the nation only by getting a higher education in science and technology according to the requirements of the present age. He added that the true implementation of Quaid-e-Azam’s thoughts is the only guarantee of the country’s progress. The solution to the present national problems is hidden in Quaid-e-Azam’s thoughts.
Earlier, the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Zulfiqar Ali, in his welcome address, informed the participants about the aims and objectives of the organization, services, and publications. The Deputy Director of Academics, Engineer Amin Akhtar, also addressed the seminar.
