Two Latest Aircraft for Air Taxi Service Arrive in Karachi
LAHORE MIRROR — Two latest aircraft have landed in Karachi, Pakistan as private air taxi service is being launched from June 18.
According to Imran Aslam Khan — COO of the private aviation company Sky Wings Aviation — for the first time in Pakistan, the arrangements have entered the final stage for the launch of the air taxi service, for which two modern planes have arrived in Karachi.
Aslam said the online application for using the air taxi service will also be available in a few days and through this service, emergency transportation will be possible in the remote areas of the country.
CEO SkyWings Aviation Asim Nawaz told the media that the air taxi will be possible to land and take off planes on the airstrips while the air taxi service will be officially launched on June 18.
Nawaz further said online air taxi service will be provided at half price, international companies are also contacting to join the business.
He said that the web application for online taxi will also be introduced in the next few days. Initially, the air taxi service will be operated at 9 airports of Pakistan, besides private airports and Rahim Yar Khan and Balochistan.
In the long term, the scope of the service will be spread across the country, through the online taxi service, businessmen and other people facing security problems will be able to travel to different areas including Balochistan, he added.
