LAHORE- Scheduled to move to Karachi on Tuesday, the two-day Turkish Universities Admission Fair concluded at a local hotel here on Sunday, attracting thousands of visitors especially students.

The event was conducted by Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools and Colleges (PTMISC) in collaboration with various Turkish universities. PTMISC has been working to bring quality education to Pakistani students with the contribution of Turkey.

Along with different universities, Turkish Airline and Istanbul University YOS Exam, which is an entrance exam for foreign students to take admission in Turkish universities, had also set up their stall to facilitate the students.

Talking to Lahore Mirror on the second day of the fair, IUYOS representative Miss Javeria said that YOS had been the biggest trouble for Pakistani students willing to study in Turkey.

“To eliminate this hindrance, we have set up a stall in this fair to inform students regarding the YOS exam so that they can be guided to crack the exam and it is the first time that this exam will be conducted in Pakistan so that maximum number of Pakistani students can take the exam and get admission in Turkey.” she said.

PTMISC Vice Principal Jawad Hassan while talking to Lahore Mirror said that the purpose of the fair lies in the slogan of the organization that he represents. The slogan is “Two Nations- One Future” and hence is the objective of the event.

He said that Turkish schools have been operating in Pakistan under the name of PTMISC which are not only providing quality education and best accommodation to students like other schools but have a distinct feature of grooming the students for a brighter future.

“Similarly, PTMISC has brought Turkish universities to Pakistan now from both government and private sector to take the Pak-Turk joint academic venture to a higher level”, continued Hassan.

The PTMISC VC further told that the universities are not only answering all the concerns and queries of the students but also are providing on the spot admissions and up to 80pc scholarships as well.

The representatives of the Altin Basha University told Lahore Mirror that Lahore overwhelmed them by its response to the admission fair. They further told that the most heart warming thing was the attendance of parents along with their children which shows the concern of Pakistani people regarding the quality education of their children.

The representatives of PTMISC being the organizers of the event told Lahore Mirror that they organized the event in the three prime cities of Pakistan so that people from all over Paksitan could attend and get benefit from the admission fair.

Sharing the figures, the organizers told that more than 2,000 students attended the fair in Islamabad and around 2,000 students attended the event on the second day of the fair in Lahore making the net attendants of the event more than 6000.

They said that they were more than satisfied with the numbers of attendants and were now expecting Karachi to beat Lahore’s score in their next event. –LAHORE MIRROR
