Tragic Wall Collapse Claims 12 Lives in Rawalpindi Amid Heavy Rainfall
LAHORE MIRROR – Rawalpindi and Islamabad were hit by heavy rainfall, resulting in a tragic incident where a wall collapse claimed the lives of 12 individuals.
According to the media reports, the incident occurred near Golra Morr on Peshawar Road in Rawalpindi, which received more than 200mm of rainfall within the past 24 hours.
The wall, measuring 100ft in length and over 11ft in height, collapsed near a makeshift camp where laborers were residing.
The authorities have initiated a rescue operation to retrieve the bodies from the site. Additionally, the heavy rainfall caused significant disruption, including power outages from tripped feeders and flooding in low-lying areas.
