Torrential Rain in Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak Leaves 17 Dead, 60 Wounded
LAHORE MIRROR — At least 17 people died and over 60 were injured in rain-related incidents as torrential showers devastated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak, Bannu and Lakki Marwat districts on Saturday.
KP Rescue 1122 director general, Dr Khateer Ahmad, confirmed the death toll in an official statement, saying that 12 deaths were reported from Bannu, three from Lakki Marwat and two from Karak.
The statement said roofs and walls had collapsed in most of the rain-related accidents reported from the affected areas.
Rescue operations were under way in the three affected districts, it added.
