SUKKUR– Haji Muhammad Javed Memon, Chairman Sukkur Development Alliance, said that Sukkur, the third-largest city in Sindh, is facing ruins due to the incompetence of Municipal Corporation, elected representatives, and officers.
Forced trade license fees imposed on traders by the municipal corporation, poor sanitation situation, prolonged unannounced power outages, non-supply of clean drinking water have made the lives of traders and citizens miserable as the city grows.
Intensifying the protest movement by the SDA for the solution of the basic problems, a protest rally will be taken out from Ghousia Masjid cloth market on Thursday, July 1.
It will be attended by a large number of leaders and citizens of political, social, religious, and nationalist business organizations across the city. He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of the Sukkur Development Alliance for the solution of civic issues in his office.
Leaders of various political, social, religious, nationalist, and business organizations Mufti Muhammad Chaman Zaman Qadri, Ghulam Mustafa Phulpoto, Allama Noor Ahmad Qasmi, Agha Tahir Mughal, Aidan Jagirani, Muhammad Rizwan Qadri, Agha Muhammad Akram Durrani, Abdul Bari Ansari, Dadu Abro, Mohammad Munir Memon, Siraj Ahmed, Abdul Hameed Sheikh, Comrade Imam-ud-Din, Naeem Baloch, Mohammad Amir Sajjad, Tariq Ali Mirani, Kailash, Waqar Soomro, Rashid Siddiqui, Faqir Ramzan Korai, Mohammad Nazar, Arif Khan, Mohammad Umair, and others attended in large numbers.
On this occasion, all the leaders decided to hold a full-scale protest rally on Thursday, July 1, intensifying the protest movement and detailed deliberations for the solution of the basic problems of the city.
Addressing the meeting, Haji Muhammad Javed Memon and other leaders further said that it is a matter of great sorrow that despite receiving a huge amount of billions of rupees, the third-largest city of Sindh is showing the scene of ruins. And this rising stench has made the lives of traders and citizens miserable, the citizens are being provided with extremely unhealthy stinking water which is causing the citizens to suffer from increasingly contagious diseases, the municipal corporations are improving their performance and the citizens.
Instead of solving the problems, they have started harassing the traders by forcibly imposing trade license fees, which will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said that we have taken up the issues of the citizens from the platform of the Sukkur Development Alliance.
