SNGPL Disconnects 216 Connections in Punjab, KP In Gas Theft Crackdown
LAHORE MIRROR — The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has disconnected another 216 connections in Punjab, KP and Islamabad, imposed Rs69 million fine and processed 287 under billing cases during a crackdown against gas theft.
In Lahore, the regional team disconnected 38 connections on illegal use of gas while another 14 on use of compressor and 21 under billing cases have been processed. The team also imposed fine of Rs 61.65 million against gas theft and under billing cases . The regional team of Rawalpindi disconnected 4 connections on illegal use of gas.
The team of Islamabad disconnected 8 connections on illegal use. In Multan 4 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas,109 under billing cases have been processed and 0.14 million booked against Under billing cases. The team also lodged two FIRs against gas theft cases.
The team of Sheikhupura disconnected 43 connections on illegal use of gas while another five on use of compressor,46 under billing cases have been processed and fine of Rs 4.52 million imposed against gas pilferes. In Sargodha the team disconnected 5 connections on illegal use and 8 on use of compressor.
In Peshawar and Karak,the company disconnected 62 connections on account of direct use of gas illegal use of gas ,32 under billing cases have been processed and amount of Rs 2.11million against gas theft cases .The team also lodged 3 FIRs against gas pilferes. The team of Bahawalpur 13 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas and 0.04 million booked against gas theft cases.
In Sahiwal, three connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas and another 2 on compressor use. In Faisalabad the team disconnected 4 connections on illegal use of gas,10 under billing cases have been processed and amount of Rs 0.11million booked against gas theft and under billing cases.
The team of Gujarat disconnected 1 connection on illegal use of gas. In Sialkot the team disconnected 2 connections on illegal use of gas and booked an amount of Rs 0.03 million against gas theft and under billing cases.
