SNGPL Begins Gas Connections in Karak from April 1
The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has started its meterization drive from April 1, 2021 in Kashmiri Banda Chowkara Distt Karak.
SNGPL Senior General Manager Saqib Arbab visited District Karak for initiating the meterization drive wherein gas meters where installed to several domestic consumers.
The SNGPL efforts and campaign for gasification and meterization was very warmly welcomed by the local community and political representatives of district Karak. The locals of the area are quite willing now to install their gas meters.
SNGPL Senior General Manager Saqib Arbab while interacting with the local community, administration and political representatives appreciated the strong support of the provincial government and MNA of the constituency Shahid Khattak.
The meterization drive will be continued on full swing. SNGPL’s Board of Directors, it’s Management and the Secretary Petroleum Division are fully committed to ensure timely completion of the project with the support of Federal & Provincial Govt, local community and Political representatives in order to end the deprivation of the locals and bring down the gas losses.
SNGPL is executing the Project of Extension and Rehabilitation of Gas Network on fast track in the Oil & Gas Producing districts Karak, Hangu & Kohat. The total cost of the Project is Rs09 Billion and Phase-1 of the Project is being executed having cost of Rs1, 944 Million with Provincial Govt share of Rs694.6 million.
The project is being executed for reduction of gas losses through complete gasification and meterization of the localities to end the deprivation of the local community with the support of Federal and Provincial Government. So far 325 KMs of Gas network has been laid in these areas under Phase-1 of the Project.— PRESS RELEASE
