LAHORE MIRROR — In a remarkable showcase of talent, Qazi Group of Schools (QGS) emerged as the leading contender, securing an impressive 10 positions across painting, calligraphy, essay writing, and Kalam Iqbal Tarnam competitions at various educational levels, including schools, colleges, and universities.
The centenary celebrations of Bang-e-Dara, along with a special seminar titled “National Reconstruction in the Light of Iqbal’s Thought,” commemorated the 86th death anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal. It was hosted by the Iqbal Academy Pakistan and endorsed by the Government of Pakistan, the event provided a platform for diverse competitions.
More than 100 schools across Pakistan, converged to participate in the All-Pakistan Competitions 2024. Qazi Group of Schools stood out, claiming 10 positions across categories such as Kalam Iqbal, painting, calligraphy, and essay writing.
Fareeha Shiraz secured the top spot in painting, followed closely by Alina Yasmin and Hasan Raza, who jointly secured the second position. Zainab Dilshad earned the third position in painting. In essay writing, Nimra Batul, Habiba Rehman, and Kaina Fatima showcased their talent by securing the first, second, and third positions respectively. Mohammad Saim excelled in calligraphy, securing the second position, while Hadiya Nadeem claimed the third position in the same category. Additionally, eight students demonstrated their talent by securing the second position in the Kalam Iqbal singing category.
The event was graced by esteemed personalities, including special guest Dr. Atiya Syed, Allama Iqbal’s grandson and former senator Waleed Iqbal, and other distinguished speakers. They gave away the winners with shields, certificates, and prizes, motivating them to pursue excellence further. (By Karamat Ali)
