LAHORE MIRROR — The Chaipersonof the Film and Broadcasting Department of the University of the Punjab, Prof. Dr. Lubna Zaheer participated as a guest speaker in a youth conference organized by Alkhidmat Foundation the other day.
The event featured several esteemed speakers, including Dr. Sameeha Raheel Qazi, Global Ambassador of Alkhidmat Foundation; Dr. Faleeha Kazmi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Home Economics; and Dr. Humaira Tariq, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Women Wing.
Dr. Lubna Zaheer talked passionately about youth empowerment, emphasizing the importance of good moral values, which she asserted are far more significant than mere education. She urged the youth, particularly Generation Z, who are avid digital media users, to behave responsibly online.
Highlighting the ethical challenges of the digital age, she noted that name-calling and personal attacks are often misinterpreted as freedom of expression, while spreading fake news is mistakenly viewed as political participation.
She stressed that responsible digital behavior is vital for a progressive society and urged young people to verify information before sharing it.
Dr Lubna Zaheer concluded by saying that strong moral values combined with responsible use of technology can lead to a more ethical, informed, and united society.
