Punjab Approves Development Schemes Worth Rs9,266 Million

LAHORE– The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party has approved six development schemes of five sectors: Watsan, Urban Development, Irrigation, RP/P&D, Roads at the total cost of Rs. 9,266.201 million.
These schemes were approved in the 44th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2019-20 presided over Chairman P&D Board Hamed Yaqoob Sheikh. Secretary P&D Imran Sikander Baloch, all Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries of concerned departments, Senior Chief (Coord) Javed Latif, Assistant Chief Coordination Shahid Idrees and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
The approved development schemes included provision of clean drinking water by Punjab Aab-E-Pak Authority (Phase-I) at the cost of Rs 5,901.380 million, preparatory work for Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project (PC-II) at cost of Rs 539.335 million, upgradation of Existing Old Machinery of Lift irrigation schemes and linking of channels in Mianwali Canal Division, Mianwali at the cost of 491.784 million, rehabilitation of Road from Sucha Soda to Manawala (length=22.50 km) in District Sheikhupura (Nankana Farooqabad Road) at the cost of Rs 746.846 million, rehabilitation of road from Pattoki to Halla Road (Length= 16.84 km) District Kasur at the cost of Rs 427.284 million while rehabilitation of road from Raiwand to Pattoki (length= 44.20km) District Kasur has been approved at the cost of Rs 1,159.572 million.— PRESS RELEASE
